Natural Beauty

Hi, so this weeks Secret Blogger Project is natural beauty so I thought I would talk to you about my opinions on  what I think "Natural Beauty" is.

So to begin with I thought it would be a bit weird if I were to talk to you about being confident and happy with your natural beauty if I didn't  show you my natural beauty. This is me, no makeup, my natural hair with no filter or editing this is my natural self. To be completely honest a few months ago if you were to ask me to put a photo on the internet of me with no make-up on I would think you were completely mad. But recently I have started to realise that your Natural Beauty isn't based on someone else's opinion of you, it's about your opinion of yourself, whether you feel confident and happy to embrace your natural self.

I know that I am not perfect in any way shape or form and I know I have many flaws including acne and scars and dry patches and greasy hair. But instead of letting my flaws define who I am, I let my self define it for me. To me, I see myself as a confident young woman, Who aspires to teach others to embrace their natural beauty and be extremely proud of who they are.

I am going to tell you why I am proud of who I am, all though this is quite a task, as I hate pointing good things about myself, I want to show you that it can be easier than you may think to say what you like about yourself. Natural beauty isn't just what is on the outside but on the inside and that is important to remember. So to me I am  proud that I put 100% effort into everything I do, I strive to do the best for myself and others. I am proud that I am a good listener and a good friend and no matter what happens I am always there for other people. I am proud of my natural beauty as even though I do have my flaws I do not let that prevent me from being a confident and happy person. Since I started writing this blog and reading all of my beautiful friends' blog posts, I have seen the true natural beauty in myself, and I have became more confident and comfortable in letting others see my natural beauty, because as soon as you start believing you are naturally beautiful it will be easier  to accept compliments and see things from other people's perspectives.

When I was thinking about what to write for this post I was thinking of maybe doing a makeup post, but I think it is more important to know yourself that you are naturally beautiful. That you are worth more than what you may think. Even if people don't like or understand you, it is important that you are confident and happy with yourself, you know that your flaws do not define you as a person, you know that no matter what you think there is always something about you which is beautiful and you know that the most important person in this world to you is you, so if you want to flaunt your natural beauty go for it, if you want to do something others may say is weird, do it. Just do what ever you need to do to make you feel happy and you feel beautiful on the outside but most importantly on the inside as well.

Thanks for reading, I really hope you have enjoyed this post, I think I could have gone on forever and ever talking about this.  Why are you proud of your natural beauty ?

Until Next Time, Katie x

  6. I do hate pointing out what I ‘love’ about my self because it makes people think I’m big headed when infact I’m really insecure, I do really love how you are probably one of the greatest listeners that I’m friends with, and you are defiantly SO pretty without makeup. I just like how patient you are about this topic x

    1. That's what I always struggle with too, it's like when I get compliments I usually say no I'm not, instead of just thankyou. Thanks, I feel like being a good listener is really helpful to other. Thanks so much Ambra, you are too. This was such a lovely comment X
